Voice Mod Setup Instructions

Step 1 — Check Your Minecraft Version

Open Minecraft → bottom right → note exact version (example: 1.21.1 or 1.20.4). Write it down.

Step 2 — Install Fabric Loader

Go to fabricmc.net, download and run the installer for your version.

Step 3 — Install Fabric API

Download from modrinth.com (matching version).

Step 4 — Install Voice Chat Mod

Get the client version from modrepo.de.

Step 5 — Place Mods in Folder

Press Win + R → paste: %appdata%\.minecraft\mods → place both mod files here.

Step 6 — Launch Fabric Instance

Open Minecraft launcher → select Fabric profile → Play.

Step 7 — Test In-Game

Press V to open VoiceChat settings. Allow microphone access in audio settings.

Step 1 — Check Your Minecraft Version

Open Minecraft Launcher → look at the bottom right corner → note the exact version (example: 1.21.1 or 1.20.4). Write it down exactly as shown.

Step 2 — Install Fabric Loader

Go to: https://fabricmc.net/use/installer/

Download the Fabric Installer for Windows (.exe).

Run it, set:

Minecraft Version: <your version>
Loader Version: leave default
Install Location: auto

Click: Install

It will create a new entry in your launcher: Fabric (loader + <version>)

Step 3 — Install Fabric API (Required Dependency)

Download matching version from: https://modrinth.com/mod/fabric-api

File will look like: fabric-api-<version>.jar

Step 4 — Install Simple Voice Chat Mod (Client Version)

Go to: https://modrepo.de/minecraft/voicechat/downloads#fabric

Pick same Minecraft version.

Download: voicechat-fabric-<version>.jar

Step 5 — Put Mods in Folder

Press Win + R → paste: %appdata%\.minecraft\mods

Create folder if missing: mods

Drop both files inside:

fabric-api-xxxxx.jar
voicechat-fabric-xxxxx.jar

Step 6 — Launch Fabric Instance

Open Minecraft launcher → pick: Fabric (loader + version)

Click Play.

Step 7 — Test In-Game

Once loaded, press: V

You should see the VoiceChat settings popup.

Go to Settings → Audio → Allow Microphone

If Button Shows "Not Connected"

Then either:

Wrong mod version
Firewall blocks outbound UDP
Server mod mismatch

Quick test: try joining server and watch for popup "Voice connected".
