Darwin Service

CCTV Installation Darwin

Security camera and CCTV system design, supply, and installation for homes, businesses, and commercial sites in Darwin — with NVR setup, remote viewing, network integration, and tropical-spec mounting.

We design and install CCTV systems sized to what you actually need to see — not a brochure pack. That means correct camera count, sensible coverage angles, lens choice for the conditions, and a recorder spec that holds the right number of days of footage at usable quality.

Built by an engineering team rather than a box-shifter: cabling done properly, PoE network design that doesn't fall over, surge protection on outdoor runs, and cyclone-aware mounting hardware for Darwin's environment. We integrate with your existing network and can fold camera monitoring into ongoing managed IT support.

Service scope

System design, install, integration, and ongoing support.

Home CCTV Systems

  • Camera coverage planning — entries, perimeter, driveway, yard, blind spots
  • 4, 6, 8-channel and larger NVR systems with PoE IP cameras
  • Mobile and desktop remote viewing with secure access
  • Cyclone-aware mounting and weather-rated camera selection for tropical conditions

Business & Commercial Sites

  • Retail, warehouse, workshop, and office camera systems
  • Number-plate and entry-point coverage where useful
  • Loss-prevention and incident-review camera layouts
  • Multi-site systems with central monitoring and integrated remote viewing

NVR, Storage & Remote Viewing

  • NVR setup, storage sizing, and retention planning (how many days, at what quality)
  • Secure remote viewing on phones, tablets, and desktops
  • Event-based alerts and motion-zone configuration
  • Integration with access control, alarms, and intercom systems where required

Cabling, Network & PoE

  • Structured cabling for CCTV runs — indoor, outdoor, and through-roof
  • PoE switch selection and power budget design so cameras stay reliable
  • Network segmentation so cameras don't compromise the business LAN
  • Surge protection on long outdoor runs — important in Darwin's storm season

Existing System Repair & Upgrades

  • Diagnosis and repair of existing CCTV systems — cameras offline, NVR not booting, no remote view
  • Upgrading old analog/HDCVI systems to IP-based PoE systems where it makes sense
  • Storage upgrades, camera-by-camera replacement, and lens swaps for better coverage
  • Component-level NVR board repair through our electronics repair capability when the recorder itself has failed

Ongoing Monitoring & Support

  • Health checks — cameras alive, footage actually recording, retention meeting the spec
  • Firmware updates and security hardening to keep cameras off the open internet
  • Incident-pull support — we help you find and export the footage that matters
  • Folded into our managed support tiers on request

How we work

Site walk, honest spec, no surprise billing.

We start with a free initial consultation by phone or at our Winnellie workshop, followed by an on-site walk (charged separately) to confirm camera positions, cable runs, power, and recorder location. From there we provide a clear written quote covering equipment, install labour, configuration, and remote-viewing setup. No bundled "packages" you don't need.

For broader business IT see IT & Communications. For storm or surge-damaged camera systems see storm damage repair. For board-level NVR or camera fault work see electronics repair.
