How can we help?
Terms — how a job with us works
The short version
The first look is free. Nothing chargeable happens until you have a written quote and have said yes to it. If it is not worth fixing, we tell you so.
Consultations and call-outs
A consultation by phone or at the Winnellie workshop is free. Bookings need at least 48 hours' notice. Coming to you is a paid call-out: our call-out charge is $150, and site visits further afield are quoted before we leave.
The free inspection
Diagnosis at the workshop is free. We find the actual fault, not just the symptom, and give you a written quote for parts and labour. If we assess it and cannot help, you pay nothing.
Quotes and invoices
A quote is a written figure for scoped work; you approve the total before any chargeable work starts. An invoice is for work done. If the job turns out bigger than the quote — a second fault, a part that is dearer than expected — we stop and tell you before continuing. Parts are quoted on top of labour, and lead times for parts are told to you before you commit.
Projects are quoted to a written scope. Changes to the scope are flagged and approved before out-of-scope work goes ahead. Final handover follows agreed testing and final payment. Repairs are paid on collection. Projects are invoiced in stages: a deposit to start, progress payments at the agreed milestones, and the balance at handover.
Warranty on repairs
If a repair we did fails again for the same reason within 90 days, bring it back and we look at it first, free. This does not cover a different fault, physical or liquid damage after the repair, or a part that was already marginal and that we told you about. Australian Consumer Law guarantees apply to our work and nothing here takes them away.
Your data
Back up before you bring a computer in. We do not wipe anything without asking, and if a drive is failing we copy your data off first — but a failing drive can fail completely at any moment, and we cannot promise what is on it.
Uncollected goods
We will tell you when your item is ready, and again if it sits here. An item not collected within 90 days of that notice may be disposed of under the Northern Territory’s uncollected-goods rules, with the proceeds, if any, put against the outstanding bill.
Electrical work
We work on the 12V and 24V side and on the electronics themselves. Fixed 240V wiring — a switchboard, a shed, a house — is a job for a licensed electrician, which we arrange when the job needs it.
Liability, plainly
We take care with your gear and your site, and we test what we fix before it leaves. We do not carry public liability insurance. That means damage to your premises or property in the course of a job is not covered by an insurer on our side; if that matters for your site, tell us before we start and we will work out how to handle it. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under Australian Consumer Law.

We’re the end unit of the 143 Coonawarra Rd complex, on the Mataram St corner — the same block as Top End Car Rentals and Campervan Hire.
Come around to the Mataram St side and park on the hardstand out the front.
Campers and caravans: under 12 m only, and by booking — book a time and wait for the confirmation before you drive over, so the bay is clear when you arrive.
Searching the street address in Google drops you at the wrong building on Coonawarra Rd. Use the map link below — it is pinned on our door.
